Conklin’s commercial roofing membranes, commonly called "single-ply" are flexible sheets of compounded synthetic materials with intrinsic characteristics which enhance the structural integrity of a roof over time, manufactured to strict quality control requirements.
Single ply roof systems provide strength, flexibility, and long-lasting durability. The inherent advantages of pre-fabricated sheets are the consistency of the quality of the products that are manufactured, the versatility in their attachment methods, and therefore, their broader applicability.
Single-Ply Roofing is an ideal option for inexpensive roof reinforcement, providing an extremely durable yet flexible barrier which can reinforce the integrity of a roof without having to rebuild it.
Once again, labor costs are minimized because no tear off is needed. To install a single ply roof. sheets of synthetic rubber are unrolled over the roof and sealed to the roof’s existing surface, forming a long-lasting barrier on top of your existing roof.
Rather than weakening over time, Single-Ply Roofing actually strengthens. There are two types of single-ply membranes, categorized as thermoplastic and thermoset.
Thermoplastic materials continuously soften when heated and harden when cooled.
Thermoset materials irreversibly solidify after heating. Because the material reacts to heat and cold, the sheeting gets stronger as it ages and also improves energy efficiency.
Conklin is a charter member of the Energy Star Program. Rapid Roof III meets the criteria established by EPA/DOE for energy efficiency and relfectivity.
Rapid Roof III has achieved a UL-790 "Class A" Fire Rating, is approved by the Florida state approval 7033, and meets the requirements of California's Title 24 building energy code.
Conklin’s synthetic single ply materials are manufactured to the strictest of quality control standards, ensuring you all the benefits engineered into a single ply roofing system solution. Read also about how our Cool Roofing Systems can benefit you.
